Fall of an Empire

An empire is ruled by the God of the Abyss, and his companion Quetzelcoatl; bound to their temple. The people must sacrifice themselves to appease to the gods, or face utter destruction; but they don't want to live by this primitive code. Some fled, but most couldn't escape in time and had to face the gods' true forms, watching their homes collapse.
