Even though these are "fantasy trees" I think the evergreens at least work well for realistic maps as well.
Edit Reply Delete
I would like to use some of these trees in a map, which would be uploaded to planetminecraft, would this be okay with u? also, would i need to give credit?

very impressive! just a quick question though - i notice a lot have roots or bulby sections above-ground, are they intended to be buried to a certain depth rather than on ground level, or just use them however?

No problem. I don't want to discriminate a group of users from enjoying the project, but in this case i can't really be of help. If you find out what is causing the problem or find a work around, please update with a comment so i'll know and can pass along the msg should someone experience similar problems :)

Lente, I am thinking of making a new PMC project. It will involve your trees aswell as other tree packs like Monsterfish's 'Conquered_'. I was thinking of making Worldpainter layers with ther best trees already selected and the best densities etc.  Also it would use you normal tree pack aswell as the fantasy one.

Do I have your permission? Because I think it would be an awesome project.

No sorry that's not ok, that way you are redistributing the actaul repository contents. It would directly compete with my own projects. Ive looked into making these layer files myself and redistributing them, but even if i were just to make the densities right for US/EU biomes youre still looking at something like 40 layers. But thats beside the point, if there are going to be any layer distributions theyll be part of the repository projects themselves and not of a seperate project made by a third party or not.

So if you really want to make those layer files, we could discus you providing the comps to be included in the downloads of my repositories with credit ofc, but as part of the original repository itself.

So you mean, I make the layers, give them to you and you put them in the DL.

Sounds awesome!

yeah, send me a PM, as the creator of the repositories my insights might be beneficial aswell. i'd like to hear what you have in mind, assuming you've already looked into it. if i think people will appreciate the layer comps you made i'll include them yeah.

It's excel, it has nothing to do with worldpainter. It's merelly a tool to help you choose which tree models will fit a certain biome based on tree destribution information i gathered while assessing which tree models to make.

First of all, you need to accept macro's in the sheet since otherwise without any excel knowledge you will be staring at the sheet and never learn a thing. If you've accepted the macro's, there are these checkboxes you can check, which will blank out rows where trees were listed that do not fit the filter parameter you clicked. You read which trees fit, you go into worldpainter, into the custom object layer, add objects, and you select the trees which did match your wishes based on the excel sheet. That's all it is.

But if you want to put some african trees in a taiga biome, that's fine with me. It's your party :)

Thank you very much for your help.  Your trees look fantastic.  I'm working on a world save so people may download the map to play on, I have your name credited on my project, but because I have your trees in the map do I also have your permission to upload my map to PMC?

No you can do that freely without asking me for explicit permission. The only restrictions is redistribution the contents of the repository itself. So if a friend asks you to send them the trees, you instead suggest them to come here to download the trees themselves. That's all :)

Are you using a mac? The default mac unzipped doesn't work with certain compressed files. Try winzip or 7-zip instead!
