Dividing the continents of Abares and Mentiran lies the Ingar Range, a mountain range of colossal proportions. Covered in snow between August and March, the Spring Melt started unusually early this year, causing massive amounts of water to flow down from the mountains and into the valleys on both sides.
Pictured here are the valleys on the Mentiran side, more specifically in the Kingdom of Sentirana, ruled by Queen Iieta. Fortunately, due to her foresight, the farming valleys of the kingdom itself will not be flooded, as during the winter she ran a program that enlisted all farmers idle due to the snowfall to dig large canals away from the farmlands (not pictured here).
Then the Winds of Winter returned overnight, freezing the meltwater in its tracks, and giving the peasantry a chance to go ice-skating for the first time in decades, as the previous years' endless blizzards did not allow for leisure during winter, and the ice generated by those blizzards was far too rough and bumpy to skate on.
All in all, the Citizens of Sentinara have had a particularly good winter, and with the dangerous meltwater floods instead turned into a slowly melting source of nourishment.
