The Halo Installation constructed by the Forerunners. This is what I wanted to create. This is what I made. It is the first of many projects in our newest world on our server, TallWorld. This world is created with 2 stone above bedrock overlayed with grass. I have been working on the surrounding areas creating a nice mountain range for people to build on/around/in. I think it has turned out pretty nice so far. 

The ring itself is 127 blocks tall and is a perfect circle. it is 15 blocks wide (yes I know not to scale but I needed enough room to build on it). It has every biome represented on it, from tundra with a forerunner blood gulch base (complete with teleporter to the other side of the ring), a desert biome (yes I know there were no cacti on the halo rings but it looked barren without) ocean biome, forest biome and snow biome (complete with covenant base from Halo 3's Snowbound map). On the top half of the circle I put in skylights to light up the inner circle as it got pretty dark with the way sunlight works in minecraft. 

Nearby is my 1:1 scale model of a Pelican D77-TC dropship in flight. 

The progress is set to 95% as Im not quite sure if Im finished or not and may end up adding more details later (maybe an emission tower in the desert?)

NOTE for server visitors:
As of right now TallWorld is restricted to members only but if you really want to see halo I can teleport you there if you ask nicely ;-)

Just  thought why don't you put this on a map with no land? That way it can be just floating in nothing and a night it would look like its in space.

What you do is you get a skyblock survival map. Those have the land generator modified so the further you go out it generates more area without land. This also means the halo ring can be larger. Since then the top and bottom can be at the height limit.

Oh and you better hurry or I may end up beating you too it. If you are thinking I am hinting at me making one you are correct.

FYI you cant get any bigger. read the description, it already goes from height of 0 to 127. it was made before the top block was un-buildable. so technically you can never make one bigger or even as big without going back in the versions :P
