Kalopsia - Noun;
The delusion of things being more beautiful than they are.
What is Kalopsia?
Kalopsia is a work-in-progress Halo adventure map. When complete it will be an “open world” map, featuring a fan created story, focused on mystery and exploration. Taking place on a mysterious Halo ring, Kalopsia is rooted deep in the lore of the Halo universe. This map is in the Alpha stage of development and is available for download.
***Kalopsia is only compatible with Minecraft 1.16.5. Make sure to play in 1.16.5!***
Recommended mods and tweaks
While Kalopsia is designed to be played with vanilla Minecraft, there are some mods that I recommend. These mods help make the game run better and the map more immersive.
The first one is OptiFine. You can find that one here.
The second one is BSL Shaders. If your computer can handle it, I highly recommend this shader. You can find it here. It does require OptiFine to work.
I use this shader for all of my screenshots. To get the same lighting I have, in the shader settings change the blocklight color to: Red:176, Green: 160, Blue: 200, and the intensity to 1.75.
I take no credit for these mods. All credit and a huge thank you to their creators.
I also recommend you play Kalopsia with a minimum render distance of 16. Though if your computer can handle it, I would go higher than that.

This is because the map is under development. It is currently in the Alpha stage.
When will it be done?
I don't know. I'm only one person working on this huge map. As such I can't promise a timeline. I am very dedicated to this project and will finish it. I just don't know when.

I do appreciate suggestions, so feel free to give me some. However, because of the reason mentioned above; and because I have a specific story that I want to tell with this map, I can't promise to add anything. I might include them. I just cannot promise to.
Is there a place where I can follow the development?
Yes there is! I just recently launched a Tumblr page. This is the best place to get development updates and info as it happens. You can find it here.

Is there a resource pack?
Yes! There is a built in resource pack. It is necessary for the map to look correct. However because it is built into the map, there is nothing extra to download. Just make sure that you don't have any other resource packs active.
Did you make the resource pack?
No. I did make some of the textures, but most of them are not mine.The resource pack is built on a older version of Coterie Craft, which I was given permission by the creators use. I do not take any credit. I also did not make any of the data-packs included with the map. Credit for those go to their creators.
You may use this resource pack only for my builds. If you'd like to use it for anything else, please support the awesome creators of the original by downloading it.
Can I use this for ____?
No. This map is not to be distributed without my permission. If you'd like to use it for something, just ask! I'm pretty easy going. 9/10 times I will say yes!
With that said, if you'd like to make a video or showcase for the map, go ahead! No need to ask for permission.
Actually, I'm looking for some people to make some videos of this map, so if you make one, send me a link, and I'll feature it on this page!

Happy New year! (Yes I know it's March).
I'm back from a Hiatus with a new update! Life was just too busy for me to make any meaningful progress on the map; but I'm finally back with a small update. Nothing huge, but I've finished some small locations, and have added some small bits related to the story. More to come very soon! For now, enjoy!

- Added the updated version of the Immersive Soundscapes datapack by TheWii.
- Updated the island for "Relic". Changing the shape a little and replaced most of the trees.
- Finished the underwater islands
- Finished the sea step islands.
- Updated the beach biome.
- Added the first crashed SKT-9 Bumblebee.
- Updated the map to Minecraft 1.16.5.

That said, I have been making slow progress on the next major update of the map.
So I went for a huge map with many different places to visit. With the goal of making you feel small, and lost. Ultimately I want the map to feel familiar and alien at the same time.
The reason you are lost is the story isn't complete. Mostly right now the map is just locations that I am finishing. The map is currently in "alpha". Once it goes into "beta", I'll be adding the full story. Still all a work in progress.
