Could you tell me if this contains puzzles / challenges to complete the map or is it just minigame map?

The Map Does Contain Puzzles but it is also somewhat a mini game since you need 2 players to play full round of the map with a neighbor. However you can still play the map without a neighbor and still have a fun experience. Hopefully that answers your question.
