UPDATE: Get this house plus the whole damn island here.

So, I made a map with Jade's house from the webcomic Homestuck.

Io ve been building up the island around the tower, but I feel like Io m never going to finish that part off, so I wanted to release this as is now rather than never at all. It's intended to be enjoyed in creative mode with mob spawning off. (It's also probably only of interest to fans of the comic!)


For a tour, when you first log into the game, activate flying then enter the command /tp @p 45 256 -82 to reach a nice vantage point of the house. From there, you can enter /tp @p 132 158 -177 to teleport to the comic's first POV in Jadeo s house, from the scene in which the Enter Name Here dialogue occurs. To retrace the comic's steps, you can use the atrium transportalizer to jump down to the brightest room, climb down the stairs to eventually reach the grand foyer, and when youo re done there, ride the ground-floor transportalizer up to the bedroom.

Oh yeah, remember to turn off clouds!

The island outside is NOT COMPLETE. Most of it is still in framework form. Feel free to expand on it on your own and publisho thato d be awesome!

The house is disproportionately large in comparison to the island, on account of the fact that the house is made to the scale of the minecraft playero s vantage point (eye-level off the ground) and ISLANDS ARE HUGE in that scale. But thanks to limited render distances, I dono t think it looks too wonky in game.

Activate the transportalizers by standing on the pressure plate. There are four in the house (bedroom, atrium, bright-level, ground-floor), and they are simply sequenced together top to bottom (ABCDABCD). The bottom one is not blocked like it is in the comic. (If you run onto one and still have momentum, there's a good chance you'll hit the pad on the destination transportalizer and wiz through the whole cycle two or three times like a perpetual drop in Portal, so... watch out for that I guess.)

There are a few things this map is missingo primary among them is CLUTTER. In the comic, the sequence of rooms that Jade runs down during her intro are filled with progressively more crap. This is simply impossible to recreate in any satisfying way in Minecraft. Likewise, the giant naga blocking the ground-floor transportalizer would be SO UGLY if included, so I just left it out altogether. Just use your imagination. (PS its tail would extend down the hallway towards the geothermal generator.)
What the map DOES have is: Every room ever shown in the comic. A few secret passages. A pumpkin or two.
