KASHIMA SOCCER STADIUM
Kashima Soccer Stadium is a football-specific stadium used by Kashima Antlers currently playing in the J1 League. Construction of the stadium began in March 1992 and inaugurated in May 1993 – the same time as the first season of the J1 League. Initially, the stadium had only 1 floor of stands with 4 separate stands, then in 2001 was expanded with 1 more floor continuously to serve the 2002 World Cup in Japan and Korea, along with the installation of an entire roof. It currently has a capacity of 39,170 seats and is one of the largest stadiums in the J1 League.
