Kreuzplatz (Cross Square) is a square in Gießen, Germany. Located right behind the Marketplace it was filled with timberframed houses, some of them very unique. The square aswell as the rest of the city was badly destroyed during the Anglo-American terror raids on Gießen in the night of 6.th december 1944. The place does still exist today, with the same name. although all buildings are gone and replaced with concrete structures.
