Calamity Island Tankspawn is a mini-world found on the new Naval Battlezone and on the NavalClash minecraft military gaming servers.

The Tankspawn is a ground combat area so players can operate their vehicles in to destroy each other and other vehicles.

I and others were part process of building this area which has taken 4-5 months to complete. This area was originally made on IronSeas naval battle server, but it migrated after the server merger/takeover of NavalClash, and later to the second Naval Battlezone, reopened by Solmex.

This area is a mix country & city areas for players to operate their fully functional Tanks and other assorted vehicles on. The server has the powerful, navycraft reloaded spigot, which makes large vehicles functional move. They can be from 500 to 10,000 blocks. Tanks are little bit smaller, but fun to drive. They have functional TnT cannons, missiles and more.

Normally, server is focus on navyships, but tanks need place to roam freely to cause mayhem.

Thus creation of Calamity Island, where we have built this amazing new mini-world. It's scaled for navycraft.
While not our first tankspawn, Calamity is the largest we've ever made.

To build it, we used some older buildings and brand new ones to make the area. The Island is setup in 2 major areas, the Northern area contains the city, Calamity City. Southern area is more rural and has military testing bases. The areas are setup to give the players variety of choices of game play. Tanks battles in either city or country locations, where they can field aircraft, tanks, even ships if one goes to small island off the east coast.

It also offers Player verse player combat options, where people can use the buildings for cover, with elevators for good sniping position. There even a functional Subway system to get around when player's vehicles been destroyed.

The fiction behind the place is
"Welcome to Calamity Island! Home of the world's most productive military supporting industries, helping people to provide firepower to countries around world to send the message "LEAVE US ALONE".

However, residents have a slightly open secret. Apparently their island was amply named! Where tanks and other assorted crazy people drive about and shoot up the place trying get each other!
