Albany was originally laid down in England on December 8th, 1897, for the Brazilian Navy as Almirante Abreu but was purchased by the United States Navy in 1898 to prevent her from being acquired by the Spanish Navy during the Spanish-American War before she was completed. She was renamed Albany and launched in February 1899.
She is seen here in 1:1 scale, featuring a full interior as well as fully functioning engines and guns, as well as a functioning torpedo tube in the bow. The ship has 6x 6" guns, 6x 5" guns, 8x 3" guns, and 8x 20mm AA guns. The engine & engine room isn't realistic as it's too modern, but I haven't changed that yet. She was built using very minimal ship plans and the WOWS 3D model. She was built using a resource pack & plugin on Naval Zone: High Caliber.
