current status of the detailed version: - i enlighted the whole city, added imperial banners and so on (changed the arena a little bit), made the big council hall inside the main tower and finished the emperors chambers (made the tower a bit higher), i did the talos plaza hotel and the entrances of the houses according to the game. I'll now build the houses and shops but the at the moment i broke my wrist and can't work on it. ask if you want the map. (and another time: great work, started the game again, yesterday)

Has anyone ever wondered why the Imperial City is so small?
I mean, it's supposed to be the heart of the entire country of Cyrodiil, right? Shouldn't it have, oh, more than 150 citizens? Leyawiin is practically bigger than the City, and Chorrol and Cheydinhal are almost CERTAINLY larger than that place!

true. If you are looking for something big I made Minas tirith from LOTR. That's pretty big. But the Elderscrolls series, unfortunately doesn't have many epic cities.

Do you have plans to finish this? Fyreuk has an insane one but they are pompous jerks and refuse to ever release theirs and want you to pay to simply see it on their server. I doubt I'd ever go back to working on Imperial city. Fyreuk's is superior and I have really lost the drive to finish this particular build.
I would rather work on new creations. My problem is I have a poor attention span, I have so many unfinished, unreleased builds.
I'm glad you like it, hopefully you appreciate this free alternative. :)

Everything seems to be working okay. When you download the file are you first unziping the contents and putting the folder named "imperial city" into your 'AppData/Roaming/.minecraft/saves' folder?

The main picture is using dokucraft, whereas the other pictures are in default.

No real texture-pack has been used to make this map, so no texture pack was added in the download.
One thing we have noticed is that any texture-pack works well with this map.
