| - GAME - Prison Escape HARDCORE [2] is a singleplayer adventure map. The mission is to escape the prison compound by trading with inmates for contraband items and spying out weak points in the prison system. Plan your escape befor you make a move to break out or it could end up bad for you. Playtime aprox. 01:30 hours for newcommers and beginners. |
| - THE MAP - The prison called "Penal colony 9" is located in Siberia during the time of the soviet union. Temperatues will go from cold at the day to even colder in the night. Tunneling out of the prison is not an option because of the frozen soil. Guard towers, an electric fence and a even higher second fence plus the prison guards will have to be overcome if you want to escape! The map starts in a small starter lobby where you can set the difficulty level and read through the evaluation criteria according to which the breakout is evaluated (evaluation according to the grades A, B, C, D, E). After the breakout, you return to this lobby and can view your statistics as well as your score. After you click on the sign in the lobby that says 'Start game', a cutscene begins in which you see a prisoner transporter driving in the direction of the penal colony. Immediately after the cutscene, you find yourself in cell block A of the prison, where you have a short time to look around before you are given your first assignment and receive a book with information. From here begins the daily routine in the prison, where you have to appear from time to time for certain tasks. For the most part, however, you can move freely around the prison grounds. There are 6 different ends that you can reach. It matters at what time of day you escaped, what equipment you took with you and whether you sneaked away or made a complete chaos. |
| - THINGS TO KNOW - To break out you need a well thought out plan, patience and a lot of skill and a portion of luck. In order to get tools that can help you overcome obstacles and get other exchangeable items, you should quickly see to it that you get money. You will earn some money every day you are imprisoned, but it will hardly be enough. To earn money you can sell your food or other valuables, but this cannot be a long-term solution if you do not want to starve. Therefore, it makes sense to take one of the prison jobs to do paid work. You will be paid daily at 17:00' IGT (IN GAME TIME). To build contacts, visit the many merchants on the map and investigate the prison thoroughly so as not to miss any important clues. Also watch out for the sniper towers, the death strip where it is possible to be shot and the two high barbed wire fences, one of which is electrified. Find the generator building to disable the power fence or find another way out of the prison. Watch out for weak points such as bars, crumbling stone walls and wooden barricades, which can be destroyed with the right equipment. In some places there are places where ladders can be placed. | - TEXTURE PACK - A custom texturepack will be provided in the map download. The texturepack will be activated when you enter the map. The texturepack is keept in a VANILLA minecraft style with only a few items and blocks changed to fit the setting. |

- Some wall segments can be destroyed.
- There are hidden items on the rooftops.
- You can trade your items for coins if they have a trade value 'STAT'.
- The 6th ending is a secret ending.
- Camoflage helps against the watchtowers, snipers will no longer see you.

I had the opportunity to participate in a BETA test. And what can I say. It was a lot of fun.
Multiple endings, improved and reworked systems of the old maps, very cool gameplay and an authentic "high quality" Minecraft Prison Escape feeling make this map one of the best Minecraft storygame experiences in a long time.
It was again a pleasure to participate in this BETA.

Played the closed beta version of this Prison Escape map by @Vitruv and I really liked it.
The setting in a Siberian gulag is really well chosen and the ambience comes across nicely.
What else I liked about the map:
+Multiple map endings
+Many different charters to interact with
+Very clear and problem-free gameplay
+Individual texture pack with 3D models
Although there were some small problems, these have already been solved at this point.
So for all who are interested in a nice singleplayer oldschool prison escpae map like in the good old 2012 Minecraft times with good ambience and roleplay character this is exactly the right choice.
I have been resuming work on the project lately but I do not know when I will be able to release the map.
I am assuming that it might still take a few months because I only work on projects if I feel in the mood to do
so :) but i will update my news feed when progress on the map is made!

if you want to learn how to use command blocks, I can only recommend that you first plan what you want to do and then specifically search for these commands and watch a few tutorials on youtube, command generators also help enormously!
