PROJECT IMPROVEMENT
A COMMUNITY EFFORT TO MAKE THINGS MORE AWESOME THAN BEFORE


Think back to when you first started making skins, or texture packs, or anything on PMC. That early stuff you made must seem pretty crummy compared to the things you can make now. Ever wonder if its worth taking the time to fix them up, rather than just making new skins? Well now's your chance!

This is a project I hope to have everyone on PMC participate in. How it works is that each person will take a few of their oldest, most poorly made stuff, and improve them using all the skills you've learned since you first made those things. This will not only improve each individual persons profile, but it will also make PMC as a whole that much nicer with all the redone submissions taking the place of abandoned submissions.

 

Here's what it takes to get in on this shindig.

OPTIONAL: Diamond, Favorite, and Comment on this project so it's more likely to get noticed by others. (Also Subscribe to me if you want)

1: Leave a comment on this project with the links to the submissions you're going to improve.
(Up to 5 submissions per person)

2: Save a screenshot of each old submission before you improve it.

3: Improve said submissions.
(I will only accept entrys that are noticably improved, and follow PMC's rules.)

4: Update the submission on PMC.

5: In the main info or additional info section of the skin, add your picture from before you updated it, and add Project Improvements banner, or atleast a link to this project.

Once all this is done I'll add you to the Mighty List of Participants, displaying a link to each submission. Also, as an extra thank you for joining this effort, I will build a grand hall in MC featuring the names of all the people who helped out with the names of their skins.

Turns out having a reminder to diamond in the directions is unfair, and against the rules. Ofcourse I never meant it to be like you have to do it to be allowed in, but I went ahead and made it clear that doing step 0 is optional. Sorry Paril!

Also I've been making a lot of progress on the Grand hall. Looks awesome so far!

It's been a month, and getting publicity on this project has been more than a pain in the ***, but We've got a few people to join already, and things seem to finally be starting up. I've also begun construction of the Great Hall of Improvement. In all honestly I'm just adding an update because this project needs a lot more publicity if it's going to make a difference in PMC, so here's a bit of a bump.

I made this during the skin contest, so people were probably too busy to help out, but now is the time for project improvement to truly begin!

Now this is open to any kind of PMC submission, as long as you follow the steps to participate, you can use any kind of old submission to do it.

Hey dude
First, I have to say that's a really good idea you had, I thank you for PMC

Well, I'd like to update something like 10 of my old skins, but I have a lot of work with the contests and my new server
Sooo, I'll start with 3 skins, and maybe others, later

Liu Kang from Mortal Kombat, my very first skin that really need an update
Raiden from Mortal Kombat, will just need a good reshading
Armour King from Teeken, that also needs to be reshaded

It's no trouble at all! However I can only submit a total of 5 per person. If you want to redo more skins anyway that's great, and helps out PMC, but each person can only submit 5 entries, however it can be any kind of submission as long as the difference is noticeable and you have proof of it.

Interesting idea, but I ask that you remove the bribery line (diamond, favorite & comment) - it's a bit unfair to put this sort of thing.
You can ask people to diamond if they like the idea, but requiring them to do so isn't allowed.

I will do THIS skin, it's of Bart Simpson.But i will probably upload another one of it, cause i want to keep the old one too, cause then people can see how i have changed through the years instead of just showing my good side of my years of skinning :')

Why just delete wasted potential, when we can harness it, and create something wonderful with it.


You may think that a bad submission is a bad submission, but I believe everyone has the potential to make something wonderful, and this project will prove it!


(Also I took a look at your profile, and there are a couple skin that you could be improving, unless you just want me to flag them instead.)

Well that's the whole point of this! Everyone has old, cheap skins. Instead of leaving them in a pile to rot, why not freshen them up now!
