The PS Miss Carousel is an early 1900s Paddle Steamer based on the
Paddle-Steamer: PS Kingswear Castle. Kingswear Castle (II) was
constructed in 1924, a near-copy of its sister ship PS Compton Castle
(1914), she was used as a passenger ferry along the tidal river Dart in South
Devon, operating between Dartmouth and Totnes for the River Dart Steamboat
Co. She also incorporated the 1904 engines of the previous PS Kingswear
Castle that was active between 1904 to 1924 (not dissimilar in design to
the second Kingswear Castle), and now resides as a burnt-out hulk on the river
just outside of the town of Totnes.
PS Kingswear Castle was withdrawn from service in 1965, but after
significant restoration work she returned to service in 1985, and returned to
the River Dart in 2012 where she once again operates as a passenger boat
between Dartmouth and Totnes. She is now the last remaining coal-fired paddle
steamer in operation in the UK, and is one of two paddle-steamers (PS
Waverley being the second) owned by the 'Paddle Steamer Preservation
Society', both Paddle Steamers are also part of the 'National Historic Fleet'
of the UK.
The Paddle-Steamer I have built is slightly longer and wider than its real
life inspiration (roughly 10m longer, and 2-3m wider), however it still is
within a realistic range (it's not meant to be an exact copy). PS Miss
Carousel will likely be the first in a class of two or three
paddle-steamers to be used in my own world.
This is also the first decent sized boat I have made, so there may be a few teething problems with the shape etc.

Texture Pack and Shaders:
I have used a version of WBC Builds’ new 1.3.2 texture pack with granite and
grass textures found in one of WBC’s previous packs.
The Shaders used are BSL 1.16.3.
As this build is part of a testing world and is my own build intended for usage
in a future project, downloads and schematics won’t be available for it I'm
afraid.
