Nach dem Verloren 1. Weltkrieg war die Schleswig Holsteinische Schiffahrtsgesellschaft gezwungen die SS Holstein and die britische Cunard Line zu geben. Cunard baute das Schiff um und setzte es 1920 unter dem Namen Mesopotamia wieder auf die Transatlantik Route. 1926 wurde sie in ein reines 1. Klasse Kreutzfahrtschiff umgebaut und 1932 zur Verschrottung verkauft.
HISTORY ENGLISH:
After the loss of World War I, the Schleswig Holstein Shipping Company was forced to give up the SS Holstein to the British Cunard Line. Cunard rebuilt the
ship and put her back on the transatlantic route in 1920 under the name Mesopotamia. In 1926 she was converted into a 1st class cruise ship only and sold
for scrap in 1932.
