Survive. Loot. Find the Exit!
Enter the dungeon with nothing but your bare hands and thirst for treasure. Sneak, run, fight, or outsmart your way through monsters, grabbing all the loot you can find. Make your way through the maze to the Exit, and return to the safe room to store your hard-earned goods before you brave the next level. Will you risk your best gear, forging ever-further into the increasingly difficult waves of enemies in search of even better goods and opportunities - or will you stash it all and bravely face your demise, secure in the knowledge that your loot lives on for another try? The dungeon and its treasures are calling....
Features
- A procedurally generated, fully populated random dungeon maze - every level is unique
- Gameplay inspired by "Roguelike" games such as NetHack and Rogue Legacy, but built to embrace the Minecraft play style
- Single or multiplayer compatible - fully autonomous command-block creation requires no intervention or maintenance
- No resource packs, plug-ins, mods, or add-ons required - just drop in to vanilla Minecraft 1.9.4
- Experience the simple, engaging, and addictive gameplay that will keep you coming back
- Crafting in the dungeon, storage at the base, and a dungeon that gets progressively more difficult and rewarding
- Three unique sets of powerful special gear, and a collection of consumable Seals that affect all players
- Nether features a changing chamber with several unique opportunities, even the Wither
- Every in-game Achievement can be unlocked - Beacons can provide a powerful benefit to all players, for a while
Installation
For Single-Player Minecraft 1.10: Simply unzip the file into your saves folder, and launch Minecraft. RogueCraft should appear in your world list, ready to play!
For a Minecraft 1.10 Server: First back up your "world" folder (if you wish). Unzip the file into your server and rename "RogueCraft" to "world". Be sure your "server.properties" are set correctly: all spawning options must be set to true, command blocks must be enabled (true), and the difficulty should be 2 (hard). That's it - launch your server and call your friends!
Modification
If you feel the game is too hard, lower the difficulty to Normal. Beware - endgame enemies will not be affected! If you feel the game is too easy, use the setblock command to erase the Community Chests for extra inventory management difficulties.
If you try to use Creative mode you'll notice the map will automatically put you back in Adventure Mode. I've provided in-map tools to circumvent this; simply "/tp 8 5 1 0 0" (RogueCraft 1.1 only!) and there you will find some useful signs that will assist in modification. For version 1.3 there's no need to use Creative mode; just play with the structure files instead. If you're dying to get into the command blocks, "/tp 14 4 4" (RogueCraft 1.3 only!) gets you where you need to be.

edit The moderation team removed the listing until I did that. Well, problem solved either way!
If you want to make it easier set the difficulty to Normal (or even Easy!) which will reduce the attack power of most monsters. Warning: this will make the monsters past Level 15 relatively harder than the rest of the game, since they have custom attributes. Armor is your friend, food is a better friend - but the best friend you have is running away.
