This project is a rebuild of the world wonder from the Japanese’s people in Microsoft’s Game Age of Empires in red team colour. In the real world it is the “Tódai-ji”; a Buddhist Temple in Nara, Japan.
After this temple was finished it have become part of the RP-World, where it is the big temple (“Ran’no’tera” – “Temple of the orchid) of Kaysang.

I am big fan of Age of Empires and always tried to build some of buildings in Minecraft but everything I have tried ago was not good enough to be shown. But by time by "Minecraft-Skills" have become better and so I finally tried to build some of the AoE II World Wonders.



Constructing Far-East buildings in Minecraft is not easy. First there are the roofs – pagodas – that are not easy because of the missing round blocks. Second there is the use of Paper, especial at Japanese buildings that cannot be represented by quartz or wool well, so that this buildings often does not look like they should. Also this is a rebuild so I had not much option to change anything to make it look better.
WARNING: This building is build by ~80% burning material.

In the RP-World it is the second big monument in Kaysang and lies next to the imperial palace on the “great bow” hill. It is the holiest place of the Ender-religion in the RP-world and holds the only working portal in the world. To activate it you need to place all 20 Dragooneggs in world on the slots, so that the blocking barrier-blocks will be removed. This command block mechanic to do this is not part of the McEdit-schematic.

Dieses Projekt ist ein Nachbau des Weltwunders der Japaner aus dem Spiel Age of Empires von Microsoft in der Teamfarbe Rot. Dieses stellt das reale „Tódai-ji“ dar, welches ein buddhistischer Tempel in der japanischen Stadt Nara ist.
Nach der Fertigstellung des hohlen Gebäudes wurde dieses in die RP-Welt integriert, da Kaysang dringend einen Tempel brauchte und dieser mehr als schön genug für Kaysang ist. Nun ist er dort der „Ron’no’tera“ (Tempel der Orchidee) oder auch nur „Großer Tempel“ genannt und das Zentrale Heiligtum der Ender-Religion.



Ich bin ein großer Fan der Age of Empires Serie und hatte immer wieder versucht, einige der AoE Gebäude in Minecraft nachzubauen, doch war (fast) nichts davon vorzeigbar. Doch wurde ich mit den Jahren erfahrener und versuchte mich nach einigen Bauwerken auch mit AoE Weltwundern.

Ein Gebäude nach fern-östlicher Architektur zu errichten ist in Minecraft nie einfach. Zum einen sind da die Dächer – Pagoden -, welche auf Grund des Fehlens von runden Blöcken sich nur schwer simulieren lassen. Zum anderen sind die weißen Papierwände, welche besonders bei japanischen Gebäuden verbreitet sind, weder mit Quarz und noch weniger mit Wolle gut darstellbar. Hinzu kommt hier auch noch, dass es ein Nachbau einer Vorlage ist, sodass ich nur einen sehr begrenzten Spielraum hatte.
VORWARNUNG: Dieses Gebäude besteht fast ausschließlich aus brennbarem Material.

In der RP-Welt ist das zweite Monument der Kaysanger Stadt und steht in direkter Nachbarschaft zum kaiserlichen Palast auf dem Berg „großer Bogen“. Eine große Besonderheit des Tempels ist, dass er das einzige Enderportal der RP-Welt beherbergt. Allerdings ist es durch Barriereblöcke verschlossen. Um es zu aktivieren müssen alle 20 Dracheneier auf die umliegenden Podeste gesetzt werden. Die Schaltung dafür ist nicht Teil dieser MC-Edit Schematic.
