A second building built similar to my original Sky Tower. I used the same materials but this time added more detail and features to the building. Like the first one, this one has a finished exterior but empty interior for people who want to import this into their own maps and make an interior themselves. I will be posting an update later on with a interior finished by myself. The included world save has 2 files, one with just the building on a super flat map and the other with the entire city the building is in. There is also a schematic file.

Thanks for viewing :)

Update:
The building has been updated with an interior. There are 2 types of apartment floors and a lobby. The bottom 2 floors are have larger suites and the rest are 2 suites per floor. For people who still want an unfurnished building, the schematic zip contains 2 files, one furnished schematic and one unfurnished.

I am using the Soartex Fanver texture pack. Download link HERE.

This building is part of my main city project, New Crafton, HERE.

Update #1 : 07/09/2012 9:42:28 am7/09/12

The building has been updated with an interior. There are 2 types of apartment floors and a lobby. The bottom 2 floors are have larger suites and the rest are 2 suites per floor. The building in the world save has been updated with an interior but the building schematic is still the original one without an interior for people who still want that.

It looks like the tower from the Towering Inferno.

Wow. The combination of ice, cyan wool, and white wool really gives a sleek look to the structure. I'll have to try using that in one of my builds :P

I would say this is my favourite colour combination so far. Although the ice is a bit tricky the use. I ended up placing 3 layers of glass behind the ice so when I lit up the interior of the building the ice didn't all melt.

Ahh yes that can be tricky, keeping the ice from melting while still keeping an area lit up can be quite a challenge.

it would be easier if u had the schematic wit the interior if u dont mind

I've updated the schematic file. Now when you download the schematic zip and unzip it, there should be a folder with 2 files, both the furnished and unfurnished building.

yea, the schematic file I left with no interior for the people who want to import the building into their own maps and make an interior. The finished interior building is in the world save file. If you want a schematic file with the interior as well, just tell me and ill add it in. :)

supposing all project builders are the same, just for your private server (you and your friends). using a project for a public server is not a realy good idea, the one who made the project mostly does NOT like it.

How do i play the tower after i download it???

Antonove

Once you have the zip file, unzip it and there should be two folders. One should be a flap map folder and the other is an entire city map. Take the folder with the map you want to play and copy it into minecraft>saves. Now when you open minecraft up, the new map should be there. :)

The only reason that this is popular is because he is a high level. His subscribers diamond ANYTHING he posts, and it gets popular and knocks the good stuff off the reel. It really disapoints me when simple stuff like this ruins the chance for an unknown to get popular.

Antonove

Really? You are just sad. I've put lots of effort into my projects and builds and as a result gotten popular. I've earned the right to have people like my work. We all started from level 1, if you have good quality builds then people will notice. Simple as that. Personally I don't care about how many views I get. I enjoy playing minecraft and also enjoy sharing with other people. I'm sorry but your attitude towards other is just pathetic.

Yes, I get that, but you are missing the point. I have seen great builds by unknowns who have just got on the popular reel, then get knocked off by a skyscraper. I just think that when you are a higher level anything you post gets popular because people kiss up to them and diamond it. They even diamond it if it is shitty

Antonove

Yup, that's true. It's always harder when you are new and unknown. If people want the amount of recognition that they deserve then they just have to slowly make a name for themselves. It's not a fair way but it's just the nature of things.

you have to upload it to another share site like mediafire then at the bottom of the submission form it says download url you put the web address of the download in there (e.g www.mediafire.com/?26y2icvc01c8z36)

A fantastic example of a well-planned out, aesthetically pleasing modern skyscraper. This is fantastic. I would love to see some interior when you get around to it.
