CONCEPT
Based on my real life architectural study projects, it uses the same style. The villa is oriented this way due to sun directions, east to west. The holes on the roof of the villa is used as light entry, I used to refer it to the 'stomata' windows. It is where the name 'Sky Light' comes from. From the interior, the quality of space is enhanced through these holes, as it creates a crepuscular effect. The roof of the villa along with the stomata was built along the sun's path, so the light enters whenever it is daytime.

The villa was planned with a single axis along the entrance, until the bathroom. Along the axis, left and right were the rooms, including kitchen, dining table, and the living room. The dining table was inspired from Japanese style dining table, where there were no chairs or tables. The living room was placed on the west so light can enter. The bedroom on the upstairs was the same family as the living room, and it has an open windows as well. Since it is Minecraft, and there is no such as air circulation, to add realism, it is for the sake of air circulation.

Before the villa was built, it was a small pond, beside a desert (north), a cliff (south), and two openings on the east and west. The whole foundation of the villa was placed on water, so it is like most of the Indonesian traditional houses where they're built on water. The villa is supposed or to represent to be built out of local materials, such as wood, bamboo, soil, and glass for windows. All of the materials are supposed to be environmental friendly, or if you want to build it in the gameplay, it is survival friendly as well. You might not get the actual plan, but you can get the essence of it.

Since the project does not have orthographic views or section views, Minecraft provide real-time 3D model isn't it? just go and download to see for yourself.

RECOMMENDATION

It is best to use shader mods to simulate the sunlight. The game originally does not render the sunlight, how it affects the space elements does not display on game. Even I built this with sunlight simulated, so it is easier to manipulate the space elements, how I morphed and expand the spaces to a specific function. Architecture is basically like painting a canvas, or composing sheet music, or writing a poetry, but it is more about how we try to communicate our thoughts of a solution through manipulating, morphing, and extending the space that we're in.
