The S.S. Beowulf is an exemplary piece of Steampunk advances in technology. It itself weighs 2.3 metric tonnes unburdened and can carry a maximum load of 1.5 metric tonnes. The sleek design of the airship gives it a very quick forward velocity, though it lacks in turning due to its long shape. The Beowulf is equipped with 4 light artillery cannons, mainly used for fending off enemies. Its light weight and artillery mark it as a top-rate scouting ship, and its colors help as well. At night the ridge along the top of the balloon keeps it light enough for the crew to see, but dark enough that it can't be easily spotted. It propels itself using four burst engines on the bottom of the gondola. In order to turn itself, it shuts off one side of the engines and fires the others at full blast.
Despite all of its flaws, the S.S. Beowulf was in service in the Royal English Navy for 3 decades. It went on many recon missions to gain intelligence on the enemy movements, and it wasn't spotted once in all of its 30 years of service. In fact, for most Germans, this is the first time they've heard of it. This elegant craft was piloted by none other than the famous Alexander Williamson.
