The Sukhoi Su-27 (NATO: Flanker) is a twin-engine supermanoeuvrable fighter intended to compete with the USAF's F-14 and F-15. It was designed to defend Soviet airspace against US bombers and carriers but it also served as a fighter escort for the USSR's own bomber. It was also the first fighter jet in Soviet service to use fly-by-wire technology. The jet is one of Russia's primary fighter jets and has many variants such as the Su-30, 33, 34, 35, 37 and the Chinese J-11. The Su-27 family are also some of the few jets capable of doing a "real" Pugachev's Cobra (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pugachev%27s_Cobra).

ou yeah, those jets are the reall killa in the skies (y)
I remember how the officers and jury on the first-time live preview dropped jaws and their mind blew up upon witnessing the Cobra maneuver :D For the 1st time they saw it they believed it was some sort of failure in technic/pilot maneuver, then the Russians told them NO, it was meant like this and they can repeat it in case they do not believe :D
They repeated it ... rest is history :D
I remember watching an interview with a USAF pilot who said that he would eject if a jet he was dogfighting ever pulled a manoeuver like that.
I just made a render of the jet all the way to the left, cut it out and rotated it in Gimp.
If you think that you can animate a realistic Pugachev's Cobra, I'm happy to give you a schematic of the jet.
