Introduction
Teramia is an open world set on a small group of Islands. It makes use of over 70 Mods and features a 100% custom terrain divided in 6 distinct regions, 100 quests, multiple guilds to join and 40+ dungeons to explore.

Teramia Mod Edition Beta II v1.4 [May 2023][New] [Smart Moving Update]
With the addition of smart moving the legacy movement/swimming/flight mechanics have been overhauled and modernized completely. Alongside the improved movement, it introduces new mechanics like climbing, crawling, side & back jumps [dodging], charged jumps, wall jumps, headjumps and sliding!

Installation:
The installation is basically the same as in previous versions. This update does just add a config folder and a ressourcepack to use on top of the maps new default texture pack conquest. It is basically a sound pack so make sure to put it on top of your ressourcepacks.
If you want to go for the intended experience, It is highly advised to use the maps new default pack "Conquest".

1.Download and install latest version of Forge for minecraft 1.7.10

2.Download and unzip Teramia Mod Edition Beta II.
3.Open the unzipped folder Teramia Mod Edition Beta II.
4.Open the minecraft directory/folder on your computer.
5.Move Teramia Mod Edition Beta II -> saves folder [minecraft]
6.Move mod folder from download -> minecraft folder [ make sure to have no other mods installed]
7.Move custom npc folder -> minecraft folder
8.Move config -> minecraft folder
9.Move Rhapsodia-0.6.1 Teramia Edit -> ressourcepacks
10.Move Teramia Soundpack -> ressourcepacks [on top]
11.Move Teramia Supportpack -> ressourcepacks [on top]
Note: If you have issues in v.1.4 climbing ladders look for the smart moving config options [located in your minecraft folder, not in the config folder] and set "move.climb.base" for climbing ladders to "standard" and it should work again. Gonna address this issue in v.1.5 during the course of this week. Alongside adding netherite ore and items to the game world.
Your ressourcepack folder should be organized like this. Cy4n Lighting is of course optional.

Teramia V1.4 not only resolves the uptodate mod issue and various other bugs but does also adds 2 new mods to the default pack [smart moving and darwin water ambience]. It does also replace the custom npc mod with its fork custom npc+!
Smart Moving completely overhauls the dated movement system [swimming, walking, flight] of 1.7.10 and adds new features like crawling, climbing and dodging.
Darwin Water Ambience adds small aesthetic effects like water splashes or ripples left behind by mobs swimming in water.

Any plans for further updates, or is this discontinued?
I am currently working on a sequel called Teramia II: Underworld which runs on mc forge 1.12.2.
I will perhaps update this one too, but i am not sure when. You can find screenshots and more information about the sequel on the Teramia facebook page.
was trying to install the mods like you descirbed but it didnt seem to work. I looked some stuff up and people said it coukd be that I was using Java V8 (wich I was) and I should cosinder trying it with Java V/ sadly Version 7 is not longer available to the public.
Is there a work around for this issue?
