I got tired of starting map after map with the people I play with starting from scratch. Then I had this cool idea that, "if I had some kind of airship we could travel in, we could keep all our stuff!" So the idea to build the airship was born.

This airship is mostly aesthetic, with the large cumbersome wool "balloon" decorations taking up over half the space. However the interior of the ship was designed to be mostly functional. There are properly labeled placed for cargo storage, sleeping, weapon enchanting, a "kitchen" where the furnaces are kept, and even piston powered bay doors. So this structure is moderately balanced to be decorative and functional.

This airship is perfect for anybody looking to role-play as an airship crew because it looks the part, and can be used for the part. Every time its time to make a new map, I drop in this ship, complete with everything I stored in it, and pretend that I just sailed to a new land. It brings a little continuity to my minecraft playing, and adds more depth to playing with me and my friends.
