The Eyrie is a mountain-top fortress located on the peak of the Harburn, one of the tallest mountains on the continent. I've inspired me of the Eyrie from the "Game of Thrones" TV show, but this is not a exact copy of the original Eyrie!

The Eyrie itself is done, but I've planed to build a whole "continent" on this map, with medieval and fantasy cities, mountains and coasts. The landscape around the Eyrie isn't finished yet.

The inside of the Eyrie is completely done and there are many many of things to explore. For example the jail with their "sky cells", cells which are open on one side to the air, or the courtroom with the "moon door".

There are also secret passages to find and some Easter Eggs. ;-)

Perfect! We're building a server loosely based on GoT and The Vale of Arryn will be run by an NPC, pending appointment of a King (OP) for that nation. We needed to build the Eyrie but were struggling with finding the time. We'll use this! Your name will be posted above the entrance.

This looks similar to the competitive team-based map "Siege of the Eyrie", that the SCH mapping group released 6 months ago. Both seem to depart from the description of the Eyrie given in the books in many of the same ways. Is this map based on, or a newer version of that one?

No problem. If you are going to have water shown in your image I'd also advise the water shader mod. Looks REALLY nice.

It seems as though people use GLSL Shaders (the shadowing and other abnormal minecraft effects) to make the pictures look better than what the actual world looks like on vanilla. Unfortunately, GLSL Shaders requires a decent computer, so it lags for me

This castle is cool but 95 diamonds? Rlly? Its just the shadow mod that makes it look so cool. Like you shire build.. 10x better then this you should repost it with pictures using the shadow mod
