Hey guys, this is my 1.2.5+ adventure map called The Flood.

You wake up in a dark room, you can't remember how you got there but you know that there is something wrong. You look through the window to get your bearings and you realise that you are deep at the bottom of the ocean, or are you?...

Throw on your respiration helmet and search for signs of life, craft, explore, survive and pillage! Learn the secrets of the dark, mysterious depths that surround you. Make your way through the deep, explore caves and caverns but remember to watch out for creepers and never dig straight down. ;)

RULES:

-You can do anything you like except DON'T break blocks of Iron, the water might ruin a surprise or two.

OBJECTIVES:

-Explore the deep
-Find the Shipwreck
-Find the underground canyon
-Tame the wolves
-Investigate the Statue
-Find the room in the mountain and press the button
-Find the submarine
-Discover the underwater house
-Investigate the Underwater village
-Find The Vault, meet the Pigmen and help them out
-Find and defeat the four sunken glass dungeons
-Explore the abandoned Mineshaft
-Complete the Obsidian Maze
-Find The Dome
-Go to Hell and Search the Nether Fortress
-Find all 11 records
-Open the Portal to The End

(OPTIONAL: Defeat the Dragon)

NOTE:
This map crashes on 1.2 through to 1.2.3
It still works on 1.1 and previous and it works with the new 1.2.4 update onwards.

Keep exploring the caves until you find the way to the Pigman vault or simply explore the surrounding waters, there is much to find :)

I highly suggest that you go for a swim then, look for the glowstone and explore :)

I just checked it out on 1.4, It should still spawn you in a room. Unzip a new file and try again, if it does it again then I don't know what to suggest.

Hey steve, i downloaded this map, and when i convert it and go to play, i spawn in a little river, next to heaps of land and other stuff. Like a normal spawning point for a map. Not sure whats going on, but i really want to try the map. Any ideas?

Yep. The trick is to build as much as you can first, then replace the air with water after -but you might have to delete some water form the rooms that get flooded, so don't make them too large/complex.

I found a pile of random valuable stuff under a block of dirt right in front of the iron spawn-cabin!!!!
Has anyone else found this?

HAha, I forgot about this. It was stuff that was cluttering my inventory after I changed back it into survival mode, so I dumped it on the ground and buried it.You should probably throw it away, but hey - it's a free country :)

haha. I'm already working on it and I'm gonna release it with the 1.3 update to include some of the new features. It will be less about mining, more about exploring. Sorta more Bioshock-ish. Thanks for the Diamond! BTW :)

Sounds cool, but I don't have a server. I just use my laptop and MC Edit. If you make something that you think would be cool just send me an MC Edit schematic or upload the world save and I can take a look at it.

Certainly not a rude question :) You can favourite peoples projects by clicking the little love heart above the 'flag/report' button and below the World save download, this puts the project in a little list on your page so that you can have quick access to it -in case an updated version is released. :)

I have tried fixing it up with a new version of MCEdit, I don't think that there is anything that I can do except for recreate this on a new map that is already in Anvil format. If you want to play it, I can link you to a copy of minecraft 1.1 Jar and play it on that, just be sure to back-up all of your World saves on a flash drive before you do so. Shouldn't take you any more than 2 minutes to get yourself set up. Cheers.

If I had an awesome secondary PC and a whole heap of time on my hands I would gladly set one up but, alas, I am a poor university student. If you want to use this idea/map on a  server of your own then feel free to go for it, but this map is mainly for single-player, it is not a linear adventure map -nor is it a simple survival map, it is an underwater choose-your-own-adventure. Just download it, give it a go and have some fun. You won't regret it. :)
