Welcome to The Forest! You awaken without a clue of why you are here. Go deep within the woods to reclaim your memories and unearth mysterious secrets...
Backstory:
Over the years many cases have been filed of missing people. They were mostly dismissed as coincidences, but one investigator thinks otherwise. All clues seem to be pointing to one location -- a strange forest adjacent to a deserted highway. The only way to find out what's really going on, is to venture inside...
This is a short adventure map that I made to see if I could learn command block coding. Should be a fun, atmospheric 10-20 min multiplayer compatible experience. I am new to adventure map making, so I wanted to start small. (previous larger ideas never came to fruition).
Please try it out and let me know what you think! I've had a few people play-test it, and have fixed several bugs, so it should be a smooth experience, let me know if you find anything out of place :)
UPDATE 1.1: Huge update that turned this game from a test run alpha into a full, finished adventure!
Overview:
-small forest maze
-a number of small objectives
-a detailed story
-some action (wow!)
-vanilla Minecraft (1.12.2) (yummy!)
-no resource packs needed, but any generic pack will work.
-command block coded
-talking NPC (woah!)

As feedforward maybe you can hide the redstone and you can place and execute command blocks in chain. Hope this helps you out! ^^
And of course thanks for the consistent feedback, I'll update the map to use /setblock commands instead of pistons to hide mechanics.
The final exit is accessible, I'll private message you a hint :)

We found out some of the initial settings weren't correct:
- Started in creative
- Started and stayed in peaceful
And maybe make it multiplayer safe :) Saw some of your testfor commands, just replace @p with @a and it'll check everyone for a certain object.
