Tyber Zann: Captain? I trust you have good news?


Pirate Captain: I know the order was to leave Mandal Hypernautics alone, but some of my men couldn’t resist of hitting some of their lesser shipyards outside the system. I seized the opportunity to extort some more new ships from Mandal.


Tyber Zann: Really... And how did they respond?


Pirate Captain: They were only too happy to pay a little more. We have some new toys for you!


Tyber Zann: Well now. That is a prize – an admirable job Captain. Except for one thing...


Pirate Captain: What’s that?

Tyber Zann: I cannot allow underlings to ignore my orders, or the Consortium simply degenerates into a pack of bandits. Let’s hope the man who replaces you will remember that.

Hello there! I've been looking forward to launch this project for such a long time. This is probably my favorite ship from the awesome Star Wars - Empire at War: Forces of Corruption Expansion pack and I am very proud to present:


The INFERNAL - Keldabe-Class Battlecruiser scale 1:1

The INFERNAL is the first prototype of the Keldabe-Class Battlecruiser developed by Mandal Hypernautics after Pirates of the ZANN-CONSORTIUM ''convinced'' them through extortion that the head of the Zann-Consortium TYBER ZANN would be highly satisfied to receive a new ''toy''
Tyber Zann had the Pirates executed afterwards, since he had given them the order to no longer attack Mandalore and Mandal Hypernautics, but he was still very glad that Mandal Hypernautics gave him these new, powerful vessels as a ''gift''.
The hardliners on Mandalore gave him the plans for this new ship, that was already developed earlier but never went into production, since the Empire saw it as a very large threat for the so called Galactic peace. In return the Mandalorians where hoping that the Zann-Consortium, on its way to become the largest criminal organisation in the galaxy would lessen the strong Imperial influence on Mandalore.

There are several reasons why this ship wasn't allowed to be built under the Empires control:

Even though it is smaller than its Imperial or Rebllion opposite - The Imperial Star Destroyer Mark I and II and the MC80 Mon Calamari Cruiser (both approximately 1.6 kilometers) it is technologically far more advanced.
The Battlecruiser has very strong armour plating and shields and powerful massdriver guns at the front and is equipped with a newly developed weapon that can absorb enemy shields and add the extra power to its own weapon systems.
With these high end technologies the ship is capable to break through enemy lines taking even the strongest crossfire while consuming the enemies shields converting them into a massive barrage while penetrating the enemies hull with its heavy massdrivers.
Unlike the Rebellions MC80s which are reequipped civilian ships and the Empires ISDs that mainly impress with their size while beeing built strategically disadvantageous this ship is a true space fortress launching Skipray Bombers and Starviper Starfighters. The vessel has almost no blind spot and is covered and protected by Turbolasers, Massdrivers and Rocket Launchers in all directions, which gives it a tactical advantage even to ISDs that are almost completely unprotected on the lower side and allows it to retreat in critical situations or after completing its mission. The ships had to be reequipped with escape pods, since it doesn't match Mandalorian philosophy to retreat. Still there are not enough for every man aboard the vessel, allowing only the most important persons to escape while others where left behind. The Consortium reached this sort of dedication of its troops trough brainwashes during the training.

Ships of this type are very expensive and outrun enemy forces by their pure technological advantage. The Zann-Consortium used them as strategic bases for its immoral, criminal and life despising operations including racketeering governments of all planets of interest; attacking Imperial and Rebellion forces and bases to gather important technologies and informations to widen the Consortiums influence and all kind of other sorts of piratry and atrocities.

The future updates should cover the following:

-a hangar with starviper and skipray starfighters and maybe some more (I will upload all of them seperately on my account)
-the main bridge
-running lights in the hangar
-quarters
-turrets and weapon systems
-the main reactor system
-tactical centre and operation coordination centre
-freight bays
-conference rooms
-laboratories
-the shield absorbing weapon
-hopefully a lot of other stuff

Please be aware of the following things:
The ship is still under construction. I hope I can bring out updates as often as possible, even though this might be difficult, since college keeps me busy. The schematic only includes the starboard side of the ship. To get a complete ship use the Mirror function of MCEdit. Please be aware that I am not planning to make a world download so far, because I would only do that for a completed project, so please dont spam me with questions like: Could you make a world download pls? Its really not that hard to download MCEdit (which is free and a very useful tool btw) and implement it into an own world. The schematic includes a prototype for the turrets I will be adding, a complete set of Aurebesh (the standard Alphabet of the Republic) and Mando'a (the Mandalorian Alphabet) and the Zann Consortiums emblem. Feel free to use all of them. You can use the vessel on your server if you want as long as you refer to me as the original creator and do not reupload it or claim that you built it ;)

Hope you enjoy this ship and its design as much as I do. I am completely building it on my own, and it really is completely different from all the other projects that I've built so far and I really enjoy building on it :) SLAM
