The proud bird-man squats one-footed in what should be meditation, but hiddenly aims a snowball at a pesky wren who has been warbling too loudly. (Out of view. But imagine!)
I practiced balancing in this pose for a slice of an afternoon to feel how the sculpture looks. This has become common practice for me – to empathize with the creature.
I am writing a story about this bird-man. If you ever read it, you may find alongside him Augustus, The Hermit, and Shadowdancer.
I do not always jive with the steepled look of most cardinal crests, so left mine a bit rounded. It seems less austere and more playful and foolish, both of which the bird-man is.
Enjoy and be inspired. <3
BONUS: The bird-man in a "come at me bro" pose
