The CS guards van was 1 of many different passenger cars used/made for the Spirit of Progress. Made between 1937 and 1938 the 2 guards vans were used to operate the trips and hold the train crew/used as a moving mail room for long distances. following the dismiss of the VR, both guards vans were passed into the care of v/line were they were stored and CS2 was scrapped due to it being surplus and beyond further use. CS1 was restored by Seymour Railway Heritage Centre(SRHC) and is used on tours every now and then. it is 1 of a few original members of the Spirit of Progress's original fleet with parlour car "Norman" and a couple of other cars remaining, the rest of the 1937 fleet has been scrapped. today i have built CS1 as preserved by SRHC as a beginning of a new "Spirit of Progress" build
