I never found default MC villages particularly attractive or safe for the npc villagers what with the homes and streets not being properly lit (if lit at all) and so I decided to amend those issues. Also, what with having started highschool this year, I've not been able to play mc much lately, so over Christmas break I finally got to play a good bit for the first time since the summmer. This was the result.
Details/What stayed the same?:
I renovated/remade the MC vilage ~epic music plays~ ....my style*. I widened the roads so they were 4 blocks, spaced things out (every house is at least 3 blocks from road, every house/structure has at least 4 blocks between it and another house/structure. Houses' /structures' location in relation to each other is the same, as is size/floorplan (huts are still 5x4 and 5x5 etc...). Then originally/naturally spawned villagers still reside in the town, and about 1/2 through the project two iron golems spawned on their own. So, they weren't there originally but they did naturally spawn. :)

Additions:
Resource Pack:
Conquest**
*I recommend using mcpatcher w/ connected textures OFF. Otherwise the wood will look like bundles of rope etc.)
*I recommend using this resource pack if you download my map, it should look fine without it with the exception of the interiors, because the paintings will be different (like the knives in my kitchens won't be the same, etc.)

Additions:
- Wall
- All the named villagers and golems that are on the wall
- Maps of the city on two of the dead ends on the wall
- Gates
- Streetlights (only two generated in the village naturally)
- Street signs
- Street Extensions (the I continued some of the streets to make the town more of an even L shape)
- Lakes and trees in the village
