Ever wanted to add a working shield that blocks arrows in your minecraft maps?

Well now you can!

This redstone device lets you hold a cool looking banner to block incoming arrows!
It also gives you a resistance effect for less damage by direct attacks!
Unfortunatly, due to arrow movement speed, this won't work closer than about 4 blocks away.

The way this works is by checking your selected item slot for a shield, and if you have it, it sets your shields score to 1.
Then, for all players with a shields score of 1, it uses the /entitydata command to make nearby arrows bounce off and give you a resistance effect.

If you like the shield patten, you can find it here.

Sadly this isn't really needed anymore because 1.9 is coming and has Shields.
So most of the people would choose those shields I think.
But still, very good!

Bro this is brilliant!!
Will it work in multiplayer?
Looking at the commands i think so but i might not be sure :)
Also the fact that thisdoesn't work if too nearby the archer it is more realistic, because depending of the shield you have (obviously) some of them only block arrows from far away since they lost some speed already

Thank you!
It should work in multiplayer as long as it's 1.8
