There was once a chain of islands that stretched through all the seas. The islands were so grand that the people of the ancient world called them by a single name; Calthia. The forests of Calthia were renowned for their beauty, and they gave safe haven to the animals and plants that called the islands their home. The mountains were so great, that it is si said no man has ever seen the peaks. Not only were the mountains majestic on the outside, but they also gave birth to large deposits of ores, ores of all kinds. The islands of Calthia were truly an amazement to behold.
Then one day, the clouds turned black as night, blocking out the Sun. The thunder boomed all around, leaving the inhabitants of the islands to scatter among the trees, the hills, the mountains and the rivers. But nothing was safe. What came to be known as the Days of Fire, the forests burned, leaving only destruction in it's wake. The mountains trembled, and great openings spanned the islands. Slowly, the rocks started to slide into the abyss of fire as well, disappearing forever. The islands eventually vanished into the sea, nothing left to remember the great beauty of the islands of Calthia.
But one island, to this day, still remains! The Island of Vesengard, the last of the Islands of Calthia, still stands. It's peaks reaching to the heavens themselves. The forests still protect the animals and plants that it's ancestors did, and the once great plains hold magnificent rows of flowers. The once great Islands of Calthia remain ever still...
This is my first ever attempt at making a map on WorldPainter. As you can see, it's called the Island of Vesengard. It's 100% WorldPainter, using no World Edit or alike. I think it turned out rather well! Since this is my first ever WorldPainter map, I appreciate comments and constructive criticism. Enjoy!
Diamond if you like it! Thanks!
(P.S I'm aware the screenshots aren't very good, but I don't exactly have the right computer to take better ones.)
