We have decided to skip updating our private main server ([64H]) from 1.5.2 to 1.6.4. Instead we will be waiting for a Bukkit version for the upcoming 1.8 and - in the meantime -host a public snapshot server open for everyone.

We would like to take this opportunity to invite everyone who wants to try out the newest snapshots together in multiplayer.

The server will always have the newest snapshot loaded, running it on a genuine vanilla server without any plugins, for trying out all the new exciting things together online. It is a hard difficulty survival snapshot server - we try out the new stuff ye olde way.

The map will stay the same as long as there are no crucial - land-breaking - changes to the world generation. Since the current world has been generated under 14w04b, there should be no crucial changes and therefore no map change until the release of 1.8. Even then, if there are no further major changes, version 1.7 would not require us to generate a new world. But this will be up for vote and changelogs.

Severe griefing will result in ban/map reset from most recent backup.

We also have our own Mumble server if you're feelin' social. You can reach it under the same address, but of course using the standard Mumble port instead of the Minecraft port.

If a new snapshot arrives, the server will be updated accordingly.

Rules:
Since the server is a public snapshot server lets keep it simple:
Social decency is required. This is a coop server and griefing/stealing is not allowed. Bans shall be handed out if not adhering to general ethic and social rules. The server is meant for ppl. to play together, and any misbehaviour of any kind against this can/shall/will result in a ban. If griefing is afoot, backups made regularly will be loaded immediately.

Runtime: 24/7 (some downtime at European night times sporadically possible)
