Blocklandia is the BEST family-friendly Minecraft server available for kids of all ages. We’ve been around since 2012, and plan to continue to be around for as long as Minecraft is a thing. Joining Blocklandia lets you meet new people, explore new worlds, and find friends to last a lifetime. We are family-friendly, which means you don’t have to worry about swearing or inappropriate behavior. In fact, we know that once you join Blocklandia, you’ll quickly see that our server tops any other family-friendly server out there.

Family-Friendly:

The server is created and maintained by parents and we love it when families play together. We have players as young as 4 and as old as … well, they’d be embarrassed if we told you. Our very youngest players are provided the full run of our creative world, however when needed we can upon request, even arrange special areas outside of creative for children who are too young to fully understand the rules.

We use one of the strongest language filters available for Minecraft. It allows us to not only filter out inappropriate language or words, but also to let the user know why we are filtering a particular word or phrase. This lets us keep chat kid-friendly without the need to “kick” people every 30 seconds like happens on other servers. Additionally, our staff is trained to monitor both chat and character skins. For further details regarding inappropriate chat or MC skins, please see our FAQ section. Our rules are strictly enforced and always available for viewing. Attempts to bypass chat filters, or use of inappropriate skins, will be dealt with immediately.

We use a whitelist to prescreen all players so that we can cut down on people who join just to grief or cause problems. Each whitelist username request is checked against four major databases to help weed out those who have a history of causing issues for others.

Players are able to lock their chests and secure belongings. We also have a ticket system in place for investigating griefing complaints (eg: destruction, loss, or damage to a player’s in-game builds/items). We strictly enforce our No Griefing policy as we strive to maintain a friendly and respectful MC environment.

Multi-World:

Whether you like to venture out and explore, role-play with others, or create and build – Blocklandia offers it all! We have a number of worlds ranging from very easy to very hard so that each player can find the right level of play that fits them. 

• The Shipyard is the world you log into during your first visit. It is also our hub world with ships sailing to each of our worlds throughout the day. In addition to the ships, we also have a number of interesting areas in the Shipyard including an amazing library built in a monastic library style and filled with books written by the amazing players on our server.
  
• Our Creative world is reached through the hot air balloon tethered to the shipyard docks. This world is our easiest world and has a couple of separate rules that you need to read when you first enter the world. These rules are simply to make sure each person continues to enjoy our server to the fullest extent while also having access to flying and the creative inventory.
  
• Peaceful World is great if you're new to Minecraft and/or afraid of the monsters. This world has no fall damage, and no scary monsters so you can mine and build without being shot by a skeleton or chased by a spider! The Peaceful spawn area also has a sideroom that has several warps to awesome areas around the world.
  
• Our Mainland is a normal survival world filled with games and parkour, new areas to explore, and new areas to build your survival dreams in.
  
• No Minecraft server would be complete with the Nether. This world is our bridge world between the normal difficulty level of Mainland and the hard difficulty level of Darkness. In the Nether you are on your own, don't attack a pigman or they'll gang up on you and staff cannot help you when you die (we help out when you die in any of the easier worlds).
  
• Want the vanilla Minecraft experience but want to play with others too? Darkness is the world you’ll want to explore. Filled with creepers that explode and zombies that grief, Darkness is not for the faint of heart – but don’t worry, we won’t let you wander in there by accident!
