Who we are

BossCraft is a Minecraft gaming community started back in 2010 under the name of Obviously Minecraft. Staff is a team that has played together since early beta days. We left Obviously Minecraft to start our own server, because the owner was using funds for personal gain, and harassing players. We built BossCraft on the mistakes that other servers have made. Equality, the freedom to speak your opinions, and the right to play the game without abuse are our core values. We hope to set an example for other servers by not promoting favoritism, and keeping a fair, unbiased environment.

How our server works

BossCraft is not a PVP server, we run a peaceful, more casual style to minecraft. Our server is built to support player towns and cooperation, as well as offering many community oriented features. Our rules are simple, but strict. If you break them, your likely to banned from the server. Because of this, we do not have large number of players online. However, the players that do manage to follow our rules, are a great group to get along with. We ask that if you play with us, that you be the same.

Our server uses factions, but not in an aggressive, PVP manner. Griefing is not allowed. Factions is easier, and more understood by players to protect land and form a cooperation among themselves. Creating, and expanding a faction costs ingame currency. We do this to prevent new players from creating "garbage" factions. Money can be obtained through direct trading with players, or by selling items to the server. We run McMMo, but it has been modified to balance the skills a bit.

Why we are different

Why play with us, instead of another server? We offer a less "corporate feel" than the larger servers. We are not here to farm you for as much money as you can donate. We have a passion to play the game, and create new and interesting ways to play minecraft with others. We are always open to ideas, and criticism. A lot of "extras" we have on our servers are staff designed, built, and ran. We are devoted to a multiplayer experience that simply can't be attained by just setting up some plugins, and letting it run on autopilot.
