With the ancient human race extinct, plagued by civil war, and famine, their once glorious empire has long since died out. An old colony of said empire, the Shimmerscar Isle is now home to many unique races. From these races, four racial groups have split the nation asunder.

Humans - Devout to the ways of the Holy Light, the noblity of Oria have fled persecution from their peasants, and sailed to the distant Twin Isles of Morkarth.  Lords, Paladins, and Priests guide the way for this forsaken race, and a new path will be found with time.

Teldari - Their own world plagued by the same thing that has torn many a race asunder, Civil War, they fled their war-torn world in panic after a large-scale invasion of their Tribal Hall, the last functioning Void Prism was activated, and had to do an emergency jump, which caused it to be destroyed upon arrival within the Nefaras Isles... Now, a lost species in a very foreign world must find their place.

Orcs - Once blood-worshipping pagans, now changed by the elements, Shamanism gave great rise in strength and spiritual guidance to this war-driven race.  The Elemental Highlords guided them down various paths, which led to hundreds of wars within their own race.  Now, a broken race, with very few clans left remains.  The Shamans of old, however, still seek to guide this race to elemental attunement, and reach favour with their Elemental Gods.

Trolls - A break-away faction from the Xaz Troll Empire, the Trolls are a race bound in oath to nature itself.  They would see their own kin die, before bringing harm to nature.  Being so naturally connected, they're often able to undertake shapeshifting once a level of Druidism is acquried, following for seperate paths of animalism.
