Welcome to the forum post regarding TaintedRPG. Our server is a manifestation of hard work and creative content creation, with a small team of dedicated players forging out a true story experience. We are primarily RPG based, with the player being dropped into the world of Ekeron to survive the wrath of the Archdemon, a corrupted old god who seeks to destroy the lands as retribution. The world exists not only in minecraft, but within work-in-progress books written by the owner. These books are intended to become a full series, and part of the money from donations goes to supporting the creation of said books. Roughly 10% of the post-taxed revenue is set to help the books become a true series.

We are quite new at the moment, sporting many incomplete functionalities as of 6/12/2015. We are in the progress of creating our very own plugin engine, to handle many of the features we are working to implement, such as improved questing. However, we do have many of our features planned out here.

|| Custom Crafting  
    With customized villagers, mob drops, dungeons, and questing scenarios, players can amass large quantities of useful reagents, which can be given use in specialized professions. Instead of allowing a simple crafting area and lists of materials, the professions designed by MrBlockface allow the player to progress in the ranks, starting by crafting basic items and learning how each profession works. A list of professions can be found on our forums.

|| Dungeons/Questing
    As previously mentioned, dungeons and quests are commonplace within the world of Ekeron, giving way to a diverse loadout of items and drops that can be collected. Questing is more for the solo player, allowing you to collect gear on your own and explore the custom built world. Dungeons require multiple people, and have specialized loot tables that the completionist can work to acheive.

|| A Storyline
   As also previously mentioned, we have a writer in our ranks, with a dedicated lore section as well as a story-driven questline that introduces you to many characters found in the books. We do need support for the creation of these books, and so donations help us make our dream a reality.

|| Raids
    Although often seen as unreachable, a feature that the new player could never hope to blossom in, we hope to keep to the overall theme of Tainted in it's difficulty, while still allowing new and beginner raiders to try their hand without them being insulted for their ignorance. We hope that both the experienced raiders understand that they are newcomers, and that beginner raiders understand that the experienced raiders will often assume you know things, and that ignorance is not a negative word. It simply means you have more to learn.

   Onto the actual content within raids. Raids are longer length dungeons with more strategic approaches neccessary. Oftentimes, you will be placed in all-out warefare against an Old God or other powerful entity, and his army of followers. Generally, raids will be automatic, allowing you to queue with a group at the entrance, and run through the main bosses. However, while farming these raids it is possible to drop a Key of the Revered, alloowing you to run through a raid on Hardmode, and fight a boss at the end that is played by one of the qualified admins. These hardmode runs give the best loot, and have a very fun and unpredictable battle when fighting an actual player, adding dozens of new mechanics you must understand.

|| Item Types
   We have decided to make use of almost every item in the game as a weapon type, allowing the player a massive arsenal to draw from. From Maces, Halberds, Swords, and Staves that fire magical bolts, you can easily find a weapon that fits your style, and keep the battlefield interesting.

|| A Colorful Staff Team and Community
    Perhaps the most work-in-progress part of our content, we hope that all newcomers will find a place in the world of Tainted. We allow players to completely choose their character's loadout, and not restricting them to classes, but adding different perks to using different items. This will allow players to show their personality or playstyle, without their looks being restricted by their class. We also hope to keep the conversation blooming by using the absolute minimum amount of restricting the chat, while still making sure conversation is not used to ruin anyone else's time.

Well, that is the extent of our content so far. We hope to eternally add more, and that you all can become part of it. I will finish the post by giving credits to those who have worked so hard with us.
