Background

Blueslime is a small Minecraft server that focuses on Authentic PvE gameplay. The server is configured with
a minimal amount of plugins aimed at providing block protection and homes to players. Everything built is
done completely in survival, including the spawn.

Goals

• Create a friendly community
  
• Provide a place to unwind and play at your pace
  
• Have helpful moderators and admins that leave players in peace
  
• Provide a survival experiance closely inline to that provided by vanilla Minecraft, but with less headaches than a pure vanilla experiance
  
• Build a reliable and low maintance server
  

History

The server originally formed in November 2010 during the days of Alpha Minecraft. Most members came from a
small gaming forum. As the server grew more members came from outside sources and the name "Blueslime" was
adopted. The server was eventually shut down as core staff team was unable to provide enough attention to
the server to effectively adminstrate it.



The core staff and community kept loosely in touch and in 2016 they formed back together to create another
iteration of Blueslime. The veteran staff brings the experience from the previous run of the server to
adminstrate the current server. New staff members and new player brought new life to the server. In 2017
the decision was made to move from a public server to a private server to provide a more consistent
experience.
