you can go back onto the editing bit of the post (there's a button above the post which is "update this skin", Then change the skin to the new/ finished version by deleting the old one and uploading the new one on the same post. When that is done there is a "update log" where you can write what you changed in the skin. then you save it like before.
Its fine to edit your skin (like it wouldn't come up that you have put 2 skins into the contest).
