Cyndi didn't know that her parents were part of the underground rebellion, at least, not until the bomb blew. The bomb planted in her house killed her family and crushed her skull. The other rebellion members who pulled her out of the wreckage of her house knew that the only option was cyborg implants. These enhanced Cyndi's mind and body, as well as allowed for information to be directly uploaded and downloaded into spare space in her headplate.

She has become one of the most useful and influential members of the rebellion, leading her newfound friends from the depths of poverty to become a formidable force against the corrupted government.
