Denia was a simple girl. She was 16, and loved the sky. The clouds, and sun were her oxygen.
One day, she fell in love.
This was something she had never felt before. Her heart beat fast, her face constantly blushing. Although she didn't understand her feelings, she loved him.
And soon after, he took her to the woods. Loving nature as much as she did, Denai didn't mind.
But..
This is what went wrong.
The man did not love her.
He felt his itch again.
So, he killed her.
She cried as the life slowly left her eyes, darkness consuming her.
Above her, in the clouds and sky; the Gods wept.
"She was so innocent"
"So sweet"
"So kind"
"Too kind"
The Gods wepot for the young 16 year old. She did not deserve what had become of her remains. The man had walked off, simple as that.
One God, Balach; was deeply saddened. The girl (Denai) was so sweet. She treated nature with care, and love everything more then others loved.
So, Balach did something no other God was willing to do. He gave his powers to her. Balach would soon wither away, but he had blessed Denai the power to become a Gaurdian of the sky.
Soon, Denai awoke.
But she was not on the ground. She was sitting on a cloud. Pixies floated around her, ready to prepare her to become a Gaurdian.
The prepartion began.
They turned half her hair as bright as the morning sun, with a glow of pure raidiance and kindness. And the other half was turned dark as the turning moon, mysterious and gentle.
Her eyes became an orange like the morning sun, and her clothes began to change into the whitness of morning dew, and purple of a pure sunset.
Denai was confused at first, but somehow knew what she had to do.
But; on the back of her was a small bud.
A small bump through her shirt.
It was the begining of her new wings.
And with everytime she fought for what was right, they grew, and grew!
She was a Gaurdian now.
And she will forever protect her home on the islands in the sky.
