Probably the other way around actually--his skin looks similar to mine. :P This one was made back in July of 2009 when I first bought the game. I only uploaded it whenever I made an account here for my texture pack.

I checked out his skin on Miners Need Cool Shoes, and yeah, they're not all that similar in design despite both being of the same character. I think mine captures the features of the Doom marine much better.

The differences I noticed in his skin:
-Lighter and lower in contrast.
-Lacking the midriff exposure the original Doomguy sprite had.
-Missing elbow pads on the arm bands.
-Boots are much shorter and lacking in details.
-Helmet is lacking the complex shape and shading mine has.
-Codpiece isn't as defined as it was on the original sprite.
