One day, young Eragon of Carvahall finds a stone in the Spine, a mysterious mountain range my the coast. Legend says it that Galbatorix lost thousands of soldiers in these mountains. Many a people have wandered in, never to come back again. Late at night, Eragon hears thumps. The stone! It's... hatching? What's this? A baby dragon!
