For a time, there was much speculation over an event in the series's story called "The Bite of 87", in which one of the animatronic characters bit off the frontal lobe of a customer. Most people believed that Foxy was the one to blame for this, but it was recently revealed that Fredbear (A sort of precursor to Freddy Fazbear) was the real culprit.
