Fun fact about Gregory: Scott said that Gregory is his favorite character. So far, I think he's decent.
Everyone seems to hate him but uh, I don't. I kinda like him. The books at least helped to figure out a lot of Gregory's lore. And, uh, one of the things being he might have killed his parents in-between GGY and SB. He's also Patient 46, which MatPat somehow guessed. Before you say that Scott changes the lore according to what MatPat says, I'll have you know that the Tales books have been being written since November 2019.
