Steve thought that he was alone in the world, but he wasn't.  The very first in the world was a man by the name of Hal Daedalus.  He had gained strength quickly through his rapidly advancing technology.  He ruled over the land and built many mineshafts and strongholds that held valuable treasures.  He even copied parts of his own DNA to make clones to work in villages and in the mineshafts.  When Steve arrived everything changed.  Hal decided to leave him alone and to not interfere, but that was his mistake.  He sent his surveillance drone, nicknamed Herobrine, to watch over Steve and found that somehow, his technology was advancing almost as rapidly as Hal's.  Struck by paranoia, Hal decided that Steve was a threat to his empire and went into hiding, abandoning his mineshafts and leaving the villages to themselves.  Preparing to remove Steve from the world, he replaced parts of his aging body, put on a snazzy new suit, and waited for the perfect time to strike with his growing arsenal of advanced weaponry.  That time is now.
