This is a yukata kimono (summer festival kimono) I made for August. The color combination I've used is called "ominaeshi" (patrinia) and it is good for (early) autumn (https://wafuku.wordpress.com/2011/05/15/japanese-colour-names-seasonal-combinations/).The pattern on the yukata features whirls in water (mizu). The hanhaba obi is wrapped in a very often used chou chou musubi.
The hair is done in the traditional shimada hairstyle. The collar is folded with the left side overlapping the right (as it should) and the back of the collar is pulled down to reveal the nape of the neck. I've also made an attempt to make sure the ohashori fold is present, the pattern on the yukata does not continue unbroken just under the obi where you actually see fabric from further up on the yukata.
She is wearing wooden geta without tabi socks, as should be done with yukata.
Kimonos are a hobby of mine and I hope I've gotten most of the details right! ^___^
