Ømyrick Stonebasher is an elite member of his society, the Neðanjarðar. This society was formed by small burrowing creatures that lived underground for millions of years. A few hundred years ago the human creatures grew too powerful and predictably used their destructive weapons to blow everything on the face of the Earth into oblivion. Luckily for Ømyrick and his kind, they live deep underground, halfway between the surface and the center of the Earth.
