Hello^^
About the shading technique, its okey, but its a bit of and not logical, try to think where light would touch the skin and where it wouldnt. For example, the arms would be lighter at the top because more light would fall there.

Really , a good start. For your first skin this is Above Average. just keep trying new styles and methods and you will eventually master shading :)

Then move on to color selection and hue-shifting.

hue shifting is a technique where you change the hue(aka color) when you shade.
But this is an advanced technique, be sure to handle normal shading then you can start hue shifting. You can find more information about hue shifting here.
